Just 5 minutes from your apartment, Thuir offers numerous entertainments, whatever the season. Visit the Byrrh Cellar and admire the largest oak barrel in the world. Further up, visit Castelnou with lanes harbouring numerous craftsmen.

Perpignan is just a few kilometers away, the capital of Roussillon with it's lively lanes, rich heritage and markets. Two major events not to be missed : "Visa pour l'image" (international festival of journalistic photos) in September and the SANCH, during Easter week.

There are numerous beaches : St-Cyprien, Ste-Marie de la Mer, Torreilles, Argelès for fine sand,
Collioure for a wild coastline south of the Albères massif, Port Vendres, Banyuls and Cerbère before crossing the border. You can also admire the magnificent marine fauna during a scuba dive at Collioure and Banyuls.
